A second commercial agreement with Israel's fourth largest bus operator
In May 2022, Electreon announced their second commercial deal as part of an agreement with Electra Afikim, Israel’s Ministry of Transportation and Road Safety, and the Rosh HaAyin Municipality to install stationary wireless charging at the Afikim bus parking lot depot, which also functions as a day terminal, in Rosh HaAyin, Israel. Electra Afikim is the fourth largest bus operator in Israel.
As part of the agreement, Electreon will sell and install its static charging management units to Electra Afikim and will also provide ongoing maintenance, operational support, and software services to the transport operator over the next 12 years. The charging units enable simultaneous charging of up to 30 Electra Afikim e-buses throughout the day – which can help decrease battery costs, improve utilization and increase uptime – while also minimizing use of real estate, which is limited in Rosh HaAyin’s city center, through an underground wireless charging system.
