At a top-tier global production facility, autonomous vehicles (AVs) charge wirelessly with Electreon’s system as they run a fixed route.
The project marks a major step toward fully autonomous, wirelessly charged vehicles that can streamline logistics and boost efficiency.
This first-of-its-kind project is delivered for ATLoS – a Portugal-based manufacturer of industrial AVs, and a business unit of ProCME Group.
By embedding Electreon’s wireless charging along the route, ATLoS vehicles charge automatically during operation at the loading docks. These seamless top-ups keep the AVs fully powered – eliminating downtime.
The project opens the door for AVs of all types across factories, airports, ports, food and pharma hubs, and beyond – creating new opportunities to make autonomous mobility a reality.
